Giulia Laganà is the fund manager for ClimateWorks of the Healthy Food Healthy Planet initiative, which she joined in May 2022.
Prior to this, she led the analysis and advocacy on migration, labour rights and agri-food systems at the Open Society Foundations EU office in Brussels from December 2016-May 2022. From 2013-2016, Laganà was a senior adviser on migration, asylum, human rights and international affairs to the president of the Italian Chamber of Deputies in Rome. She spent four years with the United Nations, working for UNHCR and UNDP in Italy and Brussels, with frequent travel to Africa.
Giulia was awarded a First for her BA in Social Anthropology at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, and subsequently completed a Masters in human rights and humanitarian aid at the University of Bologna, Italy.
