At ClimateWorks, JC serves as the Senior Advisor for the Carbon Call. The Carbon Call, hosted by ClimateWorks, brings together the private sector together with science, philanthropy, civil society, and intergovernmental organizations to enable the development of reliable and interoperable carbon accounting from product to planet. JC acts as the global representative of the initiative, responsible for strategic direction and maintaining close contact with the working groups to ensure progress against the roadmap and the initiative’s objectives, convening stakeholders, and ensuring output deadlines.

JC Seghers brings 10+ years in sustainability and climate change experience, having worked with numerous governments and businesses on GHG emissions accounting and developing long-term GHG emissions reduction pathways. JC held positions at Tetra Pak, Burson-Marsteller, the European External Action Service, and The Climate Group — an award-winning global climate organization. He’s experienced in initiating, scaling up, and delivering on transformational global climate projects unleashing emissions and costs savings supporting a world towards net-zero GHG emissions. He is also a TedX speaker and the founder of the start-up climate change advisory, Circular Hospitality.
