Kerem Yilmaz

    Kerem is the Director of Climate Philanthropy at ClimateWorks Foundation, where he leads efforts to advance global intelligence on climate philanthropy, empowering funders to make informed, high-impact decisions. His work focuses on identifying trends, addressing funding gaps, and uncovering opportunities to accelerate climate action through strategic investments. With extensive experience in climate mitigation, resilience, strategy, and organizational development, Kerem previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Resilience Rising, where he oversaw operations and drove program development. He was also the Director of Strategy and Operations at the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy, helping to establish the secretariat as a global leader in climate action. At C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, he shaped the organization’s early research agenda as Head of Research. Kerem holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California. He is passionate about leveraging data-driven insights to drive systemic change in climate action and resilience.
