We condemn hate crimes targeting Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders, which are on the rise particularly around the San Francisco Bay Area, where we are based. While we are encouraged to see the federal government take steps to address increased intolerance toward Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, we must be vigilant at the national, state, and local levels to confront the forces that have fostered anti-Asian sentiment, especially since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. Violence, inflammatory rhetoric, xenophobia, racism, and discrimination in all forms is unacceptable. 

ClimateWorks Foundation stands in solidarity with our colleagues and partners from the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, and reaffirm our commitment to doing our part to foster a more inclusive and just society. As an organization dedicated to building a more equitable future for all, we join the calls demanding an end to this surge in racist violence.
