Courtney Thomas (she/her) joined ClimateWorks Foundation in 2018 and is Manager, Funder Collaborations. In this role, Courtney supports the design and planning process for successful climate funder sessions and collaborations. She manages and leads on key collaborative systems, development of joint work as well as funder community engagement, all designed to meet the strategic needs of an increasingly complex ecosystem.
Courtney is a natural connector who believes that building empathic relationships and trust are critical to addressing the world’s most pressing problems. She brings over ten years of experience in consulting, community engagement, and strategic communications in the nonprofit and private sectors. In previous roles, Courtney facilitated inclusive dialogue across diverse stakeholder groups to solve complex environmental problems. She has served on the board of directors for multiple environmental education and regranting groups.
Courtney holds a B.S. from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School at UCSB.
