Emma Lipsky

Program Assistant, Road Transportation

    Emma supports the Drive Electric Campaign as a Road Transportation Program Assistant. Her interests and expertise center around advancing environmental justice with the core belief that everyone has a right to a sustainable, livable, and healthy future, including equal access to a healthy environment, opportunities, resources, and rights. She has experience in community and stakeholder engagement, conflict mediation, and social justice advocacy, along with a deep interest in advancing global efforts toward clean transportation solutions.

    Prior to joining ClimateWorks, Emma worked as an Associate for Justice & Sustainability Associates (JSA) where she managed and led several of the company’s key practice areas, including Sustainability & Resilience and Transportation & Infrastructure. In this role, she managed multiple complex projects, facilitated stakeholder communications, conducted extensive research, and coordinated high-impact meetings and events, honing her skills in project management and strategic planning. As an undergraduate, Emma was also a project assistant for the Environmental Finance Center under the Sustainable Maryland program and helped pilot the first Multicultural Advocate program at her university.

    Emma holds a BSc in Environmental Policy and Politics with a concentration in policy and a minor in sustainability from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Msc in Sustainability Science and Leadership from Montclair State University. She is based in California and strives to champion causes that advance sustainable and equitable transportation solutions, and a healthy future, for all.
