    Javier Patrón is a Data Assistant and Climate Analyst at ClimateWorks, where he supports the team in research and data analysis for the Climate Analytics and Global Intelligence portfolios. He focuses on developing tools, processes, and communication products to understand global climate policies, mitigation strategies, and analyze low-carbon pathways. His strong skills in data management, analysis, and visualization are crucial in his work, particularly in conducting impact models and quantitative data analysis.

    Before joining ClimateWorks, Javier worked as an Environmental Data Analyst at Silvestrum Climate Associates, where he specialized in blue carbon and carbon dioxide removal initiatives. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Data Science from UC Santa Barbara’s Bren School of Environmental Science & Management and a degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana. Javier began his career as a Field Engineer at General Electric, pioneering smart lighting and energy efficiency projects in Latin America, and later leading the global commissioning and tech support team.
