Teresa is Senior Program Associate for the Food & Agriculture Program. She is based in Washington, D.C., where prior to joining ClimateWorks she worked for the Environmental Investigation Agency as a Latin America campaigner, with a focus on forests. Her work in this capacity involved investigating deforestation in Brazil, Colombia, Nicaragua, and Peru, as well as projects related to Chinese importers. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology & Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame, as well as a Master of Law in China Studies, (Politics and International Relations) from Yenching Academy of Peking University, in Beijing. For a year following her studies, she remained in China working for the Global Environmental Institute as an external relations coordinator, where she initiated her Latin America anti-deforestation work. Teresa speaks fluent Spanish and is also proficient in Chinese and Portuguese.
