Charis Shafer (she/they) is Associate Director, Grants Management at ClimateWorks. Charis comes to ClimateWorks from the Open Society Foundations where they worked in the Office of the General Counsel as senior assistant to the general counsel and later as a legal specialist. Charis has a B.A. from New York University in art history and two Masters’ degrees: one from the University of Essex in film and literature and the other from Columbia University in oral history.  While not working at ClimateWorks, they enjoy cooking, long-distance running, playing the piano, and identifying plants.
