In her role as Associate Director, Diana Mendes is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive learning and development framework that aligns with our Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) principles. She leads efforts to ensure that all staff have access to structured training opportunities and supports initiatives that promote a diverse and inclusive organizational culture. In addition to her new responsibilities, Diana continues to implement initiatives and practices that support our efforts to cultivate a diverse and inclusive organizational culture. She is also responsible for the development and coordination of key external partnerships, including establishing relationships with professional associations, affinity groups, and professional networks to enhance recruitment efforts.
Prior to this role, Diana was in higher education for over six years, working in various capacities to identify and address social justice issues on and off campus. Her work focused primarily on educational, socioeconomic, and racial inequalities. In her most recent position, Diana served as the Assistant Director for the Center of Inclusion and Equity, where she developed and implemented campus-wide initiatives to promote, inform, and advance the university’s D.E.I goals.
Diana received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in Public Relations and a M.Ed. Counseling, both from Bridgewater State University.
