Elizabeth O’Neill

Associate Director of Impact and Learning, Climate and Land Use Alliance

    Elizabeth leads CLUA’s efforts to strengthen our results through evidence-based reflection and learning. For more than 25 years, Elizabeth has provided thought leadership, practical approaches, and critical thinking regarding strategic planning, measurement, and evaluation across the international conservation sector. Prior to joining CLUA, she ran her own consultancy and held senior advisory roles at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, World Wildlife Fund International, and Conservation International.

    Most recently, Elizabeth has contributed to efforts focused on the Amazon and Congo basins, great apes, sustainable social-ecological landscapes, strategies on conversion-free markets, and impact collaboratives. She enjoys helping diverse groups to optimize their impact through great planning, assessment, and adaptation.

    Elizabeth has lived and worked across the United States and around the world. She holds a B.S. in natural resource management from Cornell University and an M.S. in conservation biology and sustainable development from the University of Maryland.
