Project Manager, Justice, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion

    Kendra Edwards comes to ClimateWorks as a social worker with a focus on the intersectionality of environmental justice and social justice. Kendra’s career has always centered on those most impacted by exploitation, homelessness, health disparities, and disconnection from resources. Their work has spanned direct client services, non-profit leadership, and program development and evaluation related to mental health, violence prevention, and youth development.

    Kendra’s vision is equity and social justice; it is a reimagining of systems where everyone has what they need to thrive. Kendra hopes to increase organizational capacities for achieving equity and social justice by promoting inclusion, strategic visioning, and accountability.

    Kendra earned a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University, and a Master of Social Welfare from University of California, Berkeley.

    Outside of work, Kendra enjoys spending time outside in their garden, camping, or biking around Oakland.
