Onyinye Chukwuanu

Director of Development – Programs

    Onyinye Chukwuanu is Director of Development – Programs at ClimateWorks Foundation. She has more than 11+ years’ experience working to increase the impact of rights-based organizations that center the wellbeing and health of people, communities, and the planet by delivering impactful development and fundraising strategies that sustain and support the financial health of organizations.

    Most recently, she worked to advance the global climate movement through strategic development and donor relations and was responsible for managing a large portfolio of funders to support climate mission-based initiatives. Prior to this, Onyinye has worked across social justice movements including environment, Indigenous rights, women’s rights, and food sovereignty.

    Onyinye has also worked and consulted with large scale public education institutions including universities and school districts, working as part of a contracts and grants department team at University of San Francisco. She holds a JD from University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and a BS in Business Administration from University of Missouri-Columbia.
