Drive Electric, an initiative supported by the ClimateWorks Transportation Program, connects global partners who are accelerating the adoption of electric transportation, like the Movilidad eléctrica en América Latina y el Caribe (MOVE) platform. Through a collaboration with the Global Water Challenge, a grantee of the ClimateWorks Carbon Dioxide Removal Program, Cascadia Seaweed is seeding and sustainably harvesting seaweed, which naturally sequesters carbon dioxide and is an innovative climate solution.

Since launching in 2019, ClimateWorks’ grantee Youth4Nature has built a network of youth leaders for nature and climate through knowledge-sharing, storytelling, and capacity-building. Learn more.

Carbon Dioxide Removal
Carbon dioxide removal (CDR) removes legacy emissions from the atmosphere and is increasingly seen as an essential tool to help meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. The ClimateWorks Carbon Dioxide Removal Program focuses on natural removal solutions, including soil sequestration, reforestation, and oceans, as well as technical solutions like direct air capture. The ClimateWorks Cooling Program leads the Clean Cooling Collaborative, an initiative advancing efficient, climate-friendly cooling for all. The ClimateWorks Forests and Land Use program is led by the Climate and Land Use Alliance (CLUA), which supports policies, practices, and partnerships that halt and reverse forest loss, advance sustainable land use and development, and secure the rights and livelihoods of indigenous and forest communities. To catalyze deep transformations in the industrial sector, the ClimateWorks Industry program focuses on demand-side strategies, such as the application of circular economy principles and using public procurement to create demand for clean materials, as well as supply-side approaches, to advance innovative industrial technologies and processes. The ClimateWorks Power Program focuses on key areas that, together, can accelerate the transformation of the global power sector. Through the Clean Energy, Clean Air initiative, ClimateWorks supports efforts to rapidly transform the power sector away from coal power toward clean energy in over 10 countries across Asia, Europe, and Oceania.
